Mar. 26th, 2006 01:45 pmMy other front tooth hurts. Grrr.
Happy story:
Yesterday and friday I helped my ex-roomie S to photograph the street style in Helsinki. An austrslian fashuion mag hasd sked her to do a story on Helsinki street fashion (she's been living in Australia, that's why they knew to ask her). We went around the city, from railway station to Kamppi shopping mall to Tennispaltasi movie theatre/museum center to Forum shopping mall, asking cool / interesting looking people to pose for us. Most agreed to pose, really happily too, only a few declined. She took the photos and I wrote down people's names and ages.
One guy got pissed off because we did not take his photo and threw his cider on us. Luckily he was so drunk he missed (that was late friday night, with teens getting drunk around the city).
I would not mind doing that for my job!
Shitty story:
My japanese exchage place is in grave danger. The woman who arranges international student exchanges is really nice and freindly character, but totally absent-minded and unorganised (why all those people are so messed up?). On wednesday I got an e-mail from her, saying "please don't get upset, but I forgot I promised the same exchange place to someone else too and now I have to send her papers there as well". Well, obviously I got veryveryvery upset and still am, because she had told me my exchage place was already certain. Even worse, the other candidate is a girl from my department, and she's on the third year. I'm afraid they'll favor teh senior girl.
It sucks that I can't do anything about it.
