Busy Year 2006 - what-to-do-list
Jan. 23rd, 2006 10:29 amFinally the knitting magazine is done (at least for my part), whee! It'll be printed at the end of the month, and should be in shops the first week on February. Big relief to have it finished! I feel satisfied even if I had to make lot of compromises - I guess they are a mandatory part of commercial work.
Sooo, next I should concentrate on TAIK and studying, but I'm not gonna! Instead, I got asked to join in a book project (it's a sewing guide for the young and hip) and of course I said YES!YES! 'cos it's such a fabulous project. I get to do fashion illustrations and have a big say on the content. In addition to the book, I also joined in a fashion show project, where I must sew 3 complete and complex outfits prettypretty soon. My theme is Alice in Wonderland (each participant got to pick a fairytale) so you see I could not resist the project. We get fancy silks and velvets for free, which is super nice, ususally I'm way too cheap to buy anything else than "dirt cheap". I'll make one of the dresses such that I can fix it for myself after the show. I just have to think how can I make a dress that fits a model (probably 180 cm and 50 kg) and then later me (163 cm and something like 67 kg).
And then I have to prepare for my two months in Paris and the exchange period in Tokyo. And my lecture in Finncon/Animecon. And the wedding.
So probably I'm not going to update too much this year either.
